Duke gives Coach K 800th win

The Duke Blue Devils won the O’ Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic with an 82-68 win over No. 4 Kansas State.

Point guard Kyrie Irving scored 17 points and did a great job defensively on Wildcats star Jacob Pullen.

Irving, just a freshman, was named the tournaments Most Valuable Player, an impressive accomplishment for such a young player.

The win was also an important milestone in the incredible career of Coach K, going down as his 800th victory. ( Read More…)

Duke gets committment from Cook

The Duke Blue Devils have received a committment from 2011 point guard Quinn Cook, one of the top rated players in the country.

Cook will join the No. 1 overall recruit Austin Rivers in what will be an incredibly dynamic backcourt.

The team already has freshman point guard Kyrie Irving coming in to run the show this year, and it remains to be seen how long he will remain at Duke.

Duke should be just absolutely loaded with guards whether or not Irving remains with Duke past his freshman year. ( Read More…)
