The Duke Blue Devils overcame a poor shooting night to hold on for a 61-59 victory over the Butler Bulldogs and claim the national championship.
Neither team ever held a double-digit lead, but the Blue Devils were ahead for almost the entire game.
It looked like Duke was ready to put Butler away at several different points, but the Blue Devils couldn’t put the ball in the basket on a consistent basis.
Kyle Singler was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player, and his defense was tremendous in the title game.
Coach K wins his fourth national championship with a team even he admits was a good, not great, group.

Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski said that he has no interest in the New Jersey Nets coaching position.
The Nets have made it clear that they would be willing to offer Coach K a record-breaking contract to lure him to New Jersey.
The projections are somewhere between $12-$15 million per year, which has to tempt anyone.
Coach K also has a good relationship with LeBron James, and the chance to bring him to the Nets would be an interesting pairing.
Still, it seems that Coach K has made up his mind that he will finish out his coaching career at Duke and the NBA train has long since passed for him.
